Unconventional Resources & Geomechanics
Right Rock, Right Stress
Shale and tight reservoirs depend on finding the right rock, understanding the stress field and designing wells that make low-permeability rock flow. TIGC combines geology, petrophysics and geomechanics to assess potential and reduce drilling risk.

Service Overview
Our experts have carried out regional shale-gas, shale-oil and tight-gas evaluation in the Indus Basin. We assess organic richness, maturity, mineralogy, brittleness, pressure and stress to rank areas and define sweet spots.
Geomechanics makes drilling safer. Calibrated 1D mechanical earth models predict pore pressure, stress and wellbore stability before the rig arrives, for unconventional wells and for conventional wells in fractured or depleted reservoirs.
You receive play and sweet-spot maps, resource estimates with uncertainty ranges, calibrated 1D MEMs, and pore pressure and wellbore stability recommendations for planned wells.
What we deliver
- Shale and tight-sand characterization
- Sweet-spot identification
- Resource assessment for shale gas, shale oil and tight gas
- 1D mechanical earth models (MEM)
- Pre-drill pore pressure prediction
- Wellbore stability analysis
- Stress input for landing zones and fracture design
We explain the data behind every recommendation, and which additional data, such as core or image logs, would most improve confidence.
Why TIGC
Context Is Our Technical Advantage
We combine local understanding of geology, field history and operating realities with global specialist expertise.
Senior Teams, Every Stage
We assemble teams around the asset challenge rather than forcing every project through a standard delivery model.
